Hi Experts,
In usage decision for QM I want to send a particular inspection lot for rework. Is there a option to post to rework in UD screen. If posted for rework will this stock go for blocked stock?
After that what is the PP process to rework, how to create rework order, order type, then how the blocked stock be consumed by the rework order, etc. Please guide the QM to PP flow.
Thanks
Sakthi
Hi Sakthi,
Please note that, once you have identified that there are some issues with the produce material, the immediate action taken is to be done is to block the material. So, you should first put UD = R and move the stock to blocked stock. Then you can create Rework Order to add the operation / processing costs, and consume any extra materials (MvT 261) used to fix the previously produced material with issues. Finally you post the re-processed / reworked material form blocked to Quality and inspection lot (Inspection type 08) gets created for MvT 349. At this point of time, you do UD = A if the material is accepted, or UD = R to post it back for any new defects. This is the most common flow used to handle rework in production process, linked with quality. For more details, you can refer to the below document -

I checked in SCN and found some good documents in this topic-
