Hi All,
I would like to know how can we connect to the SAP ECC HANA server using HANA studio, I know how to add a system in HANA studio, however my question is about the method that it uses to connect HANA studio client with HANA server (e.g: using JDBC. Because, currently we are not able to connect the HANA ECC server using HANA studio and it says the server doesn't exist, Our basis team is not clear about what needs to be done to clear this issue. Could soemone please help me with how can get this fixed.
Thanks,
Naveen
Hello Naveen,
"SAP ECC HANA server " - are both CI and DB resides on the same host?
If you want to connect to SAP Ecc, you can use the SAP GUI BY ADDING THE cI to the GUI.
HANA Studio is for administering HAna Db . Adding HANA SERVERS TO HANA STUDIO IS VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD AND THERE IS NO OTHER METHOD LIKE YOU MENTIONED JDBC.
To add Hana servers , you need to inow the correct instance number similar like the SAP systems . This can be found from the Hana server work directory.
FYI....Hana falls under basis and should know since this a very basic of HANA.
