User Defined WBS Element name as per existing PS coding mask while creating PS Project from cProject

Dear Experts,

I have below concerns after automatic creation of WBS elements from cProject in thread

1. Would it be possible to create WBS elements from cProject using the coding mask defined in PS ? Currently the system created the WBS element with system defined IDs.

2. The system has automatically picked Project Profile as "cProject-PS Integration", is there a config where we can define this profile based on the cProject Template ?

Dear Anil,

yes, it is possible to use the coding mask in PS. Then the ID of the Project Management Project (cProjects) must also match to the codingmask.

The coding mask in PS can you maintain in customizing transaction OPSJ.

Hi Anil,

Not in standard.. You would need to create external number range for Project ID, Phase, Task, etc which you want to transfer to PS.. The external number range should match the coding mask as you have defined in PS..

Hi Anil,

In standard cprojects.. the numbers are generated by the internal number range which is pre-defined for the Project, Phase, Task etc. the 24 digit numeric number which gets transferred to PS..

Now if you have a coding mask in PS and you would like to have similar structure in cprojects.. this would mean you have to change the number range to external and use technical help to get it done..

It is not simple to make it like PS coding mask.. wherein you have lets say C/0001.1.1 kind of coding..

In cproject building logic for finding next number and making it identical as PS coding mask would be challenging.
