Hi!
Has anyone out there ever thought of connecting BOBJ (IDT) to ElasticSearch? If so, please share your experience/observations/conclusions.
I just had a request to research the topic and I didn't find much. Maybe an option could be to access it hrough Hive SQL --> Hadoop --> Map/Reduce --> ElasticSearch (must still research this option).
Any help would be well appreciated.
Regards,
Miha
My comment is late, but rather too late than never 😉
Hive is possible but quiet slow! An alternative is a commercial JDBC/ODBC Driver from CDATA. With this driver it is easy to create a univers connection via ODBC/JDBC. SQL-92 is supported and the speed is also quite well.
The latest open distro version of elasticsearch (1.0.0) comes with a JDBC driver. This may also a possibility to create an universe connection. But this I have to test how good it is.

Uwe

Hi Miha,
As per the PAM Guide you can connect to Hive (supported versions mentioned in the PAM), however the PAM guide and the Data Access Guide does not provide any details to connect directly to Elastic Search.
For the above mentioned reasons, I think it is not supported.
