Error: No bin search possible. Storage types/sections/bin types incomplete

Hello experts,

Please help me to rectify this error,

I tried a direct putaway into a str type 0080, I have created bins with bin typ B001, and I maintained proper search strategies under GR process but still system was unable to find the bins.

plz see the log, it found search seq for 0080

I have maintained HU types for str type 0080.

Please let me know which step I am missing.

Hi Srikanth,

You might have missed St.Bin Type assignment to your respective St.Bin.It will resolve your issue.

HI Srikanth,

CK covered almost all the check however you can check following ones carefully again.

1. Assign Storage Bin Types to Storage Types

     DW03 - B001 - S080

2. Define HU Types for Each Storage Type

     DW03 - S080 - D3 - H2

3.Define HU Types for Each Storage Bin Type

     DW03 - S080 - D3 - B001

     DW03 - S080 - H2 - B001

If still not working, try to do the manual putaway by entering bin in the default value, you might get the exact error message.

I did manual putaway and it worked, it didn't give any error message. I don't know what is missing in the set up, i have maintained all the points that you have mentioned above.

1> Its looks like failed bin determination

Hope you did all settings ,still Please verify again with St type 0080.

2>

ID Point check in ST Type 0080. ?

Please check the config and do the setting if you missing with St type 0080.

Thank you very much for your inputs,

I found the problem, I have maintained Srt Type Data(0080-0001-B001) in the product master as below, because of this Bin was not getting determined. I removed this data and tried creating WO, it worked. But I don't understand how this influence bin determination.

Did you activate the storage section check for your storage type?, if then storage section indicator is mandatory in the product master.

Hi srikanth,

Can you check the optimisation of search sequence for which combinatiobs it is maintained. It can below the putaway search sequence in configuration. You can find sequence with combination s like only putaway control indicator, PACI along with process type determination control indicator etc...

I have checked and in my case search seq s080 is getting determined properly only problem with bin search.
