Rework in Manufacturing best practices ?

Dear Seniors,

Please advise on the best practices of this challenge.

We are using SAP ERP -> MES landscape for manufacturing. There are operations which have rework required.

If we use an additional operation in SAP for rework

- we plan let's say 10% but the actual quantity reworked can be different, from order to order.

- we get capacity requirements which are not consumed until the order is finished, if the reworked qty. is not exactly 10%

If we use the rework loop in ME

- the rework is done in the same operation, we would not need another additional operation

- but there is no capacity planned in SAP for this

Hi,

Rework orders were planned for implementation in the upcoming release of ME 15.1. I doubt it is available in ME 15.1.1.x.

After the release you will be able to find the information in the online help.
