Deployment created receipt without haveing any demand.

Hello Expert,

There is a strange situation where without any demand for some week, deployment created receipt which can be seen under key figure- "Distribution Receipt (Confirmed)"

Can you please guide possible reason for this.

This depends on push rule you're using.
If you do not want this behavior, you can set indicator "push not allowed" in the location master.

Push only happens when supply > demand.
I don't think there's any other reason ...

Hi,

As Ada already mentioned, please check for the deployment rule in the Push Distribution field for those products in the location-product (SNP2 tab). You just need to remove the value (P, X, Q..) from this field. Which would set the rule as 'Pull'. Now take a re-run.

This should resolve your issue.

OR

If you are using deployment optimizer then check the storage cost in the source and destination location. If you maintain a higher storage cost in the source location, then optimizer would suggest to move the products to the location, where storage cost is lesser (provided you have T-Lane in place to this location), even if there is no demand. (Assuming total transportation cost will be lesser as compared to the total saving in storage cost).
