Powerdesigner and Bizagi: exchange data and models

Hello, I'm using PowerDesigner 16.1 to create cdm and pdm models, and Bizagi to create Business Procees models. I'm looking for a file format which is supported by both of tools.

So my question is,  does Powerdesigner can export/import XPDL file?

Thanks

Hi Sabrina,

You can try the bpmn file format.

We export files from Bizagi to PowerDesigner using that format and in my opinion, the result is good because about 80% the objets are generated correctly in PowerDesigner.

Note: We use PowerAMC 16.5

Hello Camilo - which objects are in the 20% not generated correctly in PD? It may be possible to create a custom XML import that can create those objects for you.

The short answer is that PD doesn't have built-in support for XPDL import or export, but you can build it yourself. See this discussion from June this year -

You could ask Reischmann if they've considered creating the interface. It's also worth raising an enhancement request with SAP - if nobody asks for it, SAP won't build it.

If you want us to build it for you, please get in touch.
