Engineering Record and ECTR integration

Hi Gurus

Have anyone used or integrated ER with ECTR (DSCs)? I am trying to search capabilities DSC ECTR offers for engineering record.

At minimum below:

-Does search Queries within ECTR can be enabled for ERs?

-Can the basic data screen or Attributes of ER be seen from ECTR?

Kindly share your experience or if possible answers to my questions

So for SAP ECTR, (have not looked at DSC 4.4 or prior).  You can view ER attributes. My system presently does not have the ability to search via search queries for ERs. I have not tried to config this yet

I did some research from my end too & below is what I got:

> Search functionality is supported (Both SAP ECTR + DSC ECTR(4.6 version)..via Trex & DB search

> Basic data screen is a layout which is configurable under layout manager (properties)

Few additional things i want to add is ER to ECTR integrations is one to one relation if someone wants multiple ECMs tied to single ER then that will not be out of box.

Hello Yatan,

this forum focuses on SAP ECTR. If you have questions about DSC ECTR 4.4 please get in contact with DSC.

SAP ECTR supports Engineering Record, so specificall for your questions:

1. Search query: you can go via "add" in the folder's context menu. There you have a search mask for ER.

2. Basic Data: an ER can be viewed in the Object Browser. The most important attributes are shown here as well as structure information (linked objects).
