Solution Manager 7.2 dual stack

Hi All,

I have installed solution manager 7.2 on hana abap stack. Can I install solution manager 7.2 on hana java stack in same server? Because for solution manager 7.2 can't directly install for dual stack (java and abap), unlikely solution manager 7.1.

So, means I have install solution manager 7.2 java stack for configure solution manager? But, Why configure page still can open? Although I found error in abap software prerequisites.

As it is mentioned in note 2227300 - Further Upgrade Information for SAP Solution Manager 7.2

it is recommended to keep Java instance on the same host. Java DB also on the same DB.

• The dual-stack of SAP Solution Manager 7.1 needs to be split in SAP Solution Manager 7.2. As a consequence the Application Server (AS) Java will become a new and separate SAP system.
  • Consider these split options in advance:
    • Host: Shall the AS Java remain on the same host as the AS ABAP (recommended) ?
    • Database: Shall the AS Java schema be kept in the same database (recommended) ?

Configure your hosts resources accordingly.

Hi Bobby,

If your hardware has sufficient resources then you can install Java stack also on same server as your SID for JAVA will be different from abap stack.
