Hi Everyone,
We have one reference DC (RDC) created in our SAP IS-Retail system. RDC is assigned with RUB as currency. This client has some stores in Russia and some European countries.
Users in European stores create article in MM41. They first create the article at RDC level, and then extend to the DC used in their country. Apart from the basic necessary details, they maintain the prices in Purchasing view in EUR currency.
It is observed that on Logistics: DC view, in Accounting, the moving average price is proposed by the system based on the RUB-EUR currency conversion. So, if 1 EUR is maintained as the price for the article in Purchasing view, moving average price for article on RDC level in Logistics: DC - Accounting is proposed as 73.56.
At the time of debugging, we observed that function module CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY converts this amount.
This has created problem in moving average price in some cases.
Is it possible to create another RDC with EUR as the currency? So, Russian users will use RDC (with RUB) to create an article and European users will use a new RDC, say ERDC, (with EUR) to create an article.
If it so, what changes will be required in WSS1?
Please let know if there is any better approach to resolve this.
Thanking you in advance,
BR, Nihar

100% agree with Paul - from DC perspective, there can only be one reference site.
What one could try out would be to adjust the reference handling (BAdI_ARTICLE_REF_RT) to pick a different currency in defined cases. But should be tested well.
