Change user details

Hi

we just implemented GRC 10.1 and got the first impression. One thing we wonder about are that when we want to change user details like SNC name or any other fields, then the system demand per default that we add a role. The error text are "add at least one Role to the request"

My idea was to create a new request type only for changing user data, therefor can anyone explain how I avoid that the system also demand an role for updating user details?

Thank you in advance

Jakob

Hello Jakob,

Add atleast one role to the request appears when you have assign object as action for the request type in SPRO -> IMG -> GRC -> AC -> User Provisioning -> Define Request type

If you don't want to add roles, then remove assign object action

Hi

Sorry for my late response, I can see that the setting in the EUP are not mandatory. no matter if I change the setup, the role assignment are still mandatory.

anyone who has an idea why?

Hi Jakob,

You see the error message because of the default EUP settings for the roles.

You can make this field non mandatory in maintain end user personalization and create a separate request type explicitly fr changing user data.

Hope this helps.
