How do SPROXY and PI work?

Hi experts,

This is regarding SPROXY and PI.

Without using the front end system, I want to pass the payload using ‘SPROXY’ in ECC.  I have the payload and went through the SPROXY and got the response in ECC in XML format .

If I check PI, can I find this response?

** This is regarding DR setup. I want to clarify if the DR setup is working fine for both ECC and PI. Can I do it without using the front end system?

Hello Sameera.

Your question is a bit confusing.

You can find the XML details in PI in SXMB_MONI or in run time workbench.

And DR setup??In this case from where the data will be coming?

FRONT_END -> PI(Request) -> ECC -> PI(Response)

I'm having the request payload in XML format. I just want to pass data to ECC without using front end system. For that I did it from SPROXY in ECC and I got the response.

My question is, if I do the process like this, does this response go to PI?

Hello, If you are testing your proxy directly in ECC without PI, then the response will not go back to ECC as this is a local test.

If you want to test PI DR, then you can simulate the Front_End System using a Tool like SOAP UI or any other tool as per your Sender Adapter!

As Bhavesh its just a standalone testing.You can find the data only in ECC not in SAP PI.
