Difference between external mapping and cross component mapping

Hi all, What is the difference between External Mapping and Cross component mapping in webdynpro abap.

kindly provide difference.

Hi ,

Internal context mapping : it is the relation between view controller context and component controller context.

External context mapping : it is the relation between two different component component controllers .

Cross component Mapping:The way of using the content of the interface controller of a used component is the cross-component context mapping.

I know the definition's , i want to know what are the limitations of cross component mapping and external mapping , what are the possibilities i can get values by using cross component mapping and which criteria i cannot get values by using cross component mapping, same for External context mapping.
