HANA SDA(smart data access) failed to connect to MS SQL Server

Hi All,

Recently, I was trying to install SDA (smart data access) in my test HANA ( version: SPS11 1.0.110 ) to link to my test MS SQL server 2012. But it failed to display in HANA studio (check the following screenshot). But if I use cmd in HANA linux, it's sucessful.

I'm using the same version of driver install in SPS09 HANA, it works.

Tried another SPS11 HANA, it's the same symptom.

I followed the guideline to install with the correct version.

msodbcsql-11.0.2260.0.tar.gz  unixODBC-2.3.0.tar.gz

Hi Ning,

Really appreciate your answer. I'm downloading the latest SPS12 to update to test. Beside that, is there any other workaround without update? Thanks again.

Hi Antti,

It is recommended to update HANA to latest patch level (rev or maintenance revision) to fix some known issues. Since you want to update to HANA SPS12, please directly go to 122.01. (Do not forget to update your HANA studio as well)

The workaround that Jimmy said is:

Hi Ning,

Thank you very much for a quick response.

Finally, I updated to SPS12. 112.01, and it works. I didn't update HANA studio. attached screenshot for others reference.
