The sap gui words history doesn't work

Hello Gurus,

I'm facing a problem with a user that their SAP GUI doens't save the history from the words or number that he input in the SAP GUI (example logon screen: when type the user, doens't save for another logon. Transactions when needs to type numbers like ME21N and any field from any place from SAP GUI doens't save the history from he types).

Could you have any tips to solve this issue?

The SAP GUI version from this user is 740 Patch 8.

Thanks for the reply!

Follow the image:

The image is in Portuguese language. The information icone says: "Is not possible to modify the history path by the entry if it's mode SAP GUI is open."

Try this Solution

In SAP GUI Options

Local Data --> History --> History Status Off

Click Apply and click OK

Repeat Step Above and this turn History Status On

Click Apply an OK

Close all GUI Windows

Clear History by clicking on Clear History Button

Copy History path and go to File Explorer

and remove/delete SAPHistory* MDB file

Open SAP GUI again and try

Hello Cleiton,

Does the issue happen after you changed/upgraded your Office Version? (e.g. from Office 2010 to Office 2013/365)

# If YES:

  - Please refer to the following note:

2238623 - History: might not work after MS Office 365 or 2013 upgrade: 32-bit version of MS ACE is required!
