Dear All,
Recently we upgraded from cProjects 4.5 to PPM 6.1.
As per the release notes in 6.1, WebDynpro Component DPR_MAINFRAME is now obsolete and another component DPR_REDIRECT would work for the same purpose without any modification.
However we are now facing problem as the WebDynpro component cProjects is not visible / accessible anymore.
There was a location to maintain a URL, which we did, but its leading us to NWBC instead of our expectation.
Added a role SAP_BPR_PPM and still facing the same issue.
Any inputs would be highly appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Srikar. S
Hi Srikar,
with release PPM 5.0 the entry and navigation was changed. As you said the WD component DPR_MAINFRAME is obsolet as well as CPROJECTS.
There are now two WD applications that communicate: For the entry (e.g. dashboards) it is INM_WORKCENTER_APP and the application for editing/viewing projects CPROJECTS_FPM.
They are all wrapped with the FPM framework now.

Peter

Hi Srikar,
be aware of the following implication when upgrading:
If you used the personalisation in cPro 4.5 (e.g. as admin) for field control these settings have to be done again. As DPR_MAINFRAME is deprecated, the calling path for the generated hash-value of your personalization has changed! There are no migration scenarios.
This means also, that all user-defined views of your dashboards (project, task, aso...) have to be created again.
Have also a look to your WD enhancements of DPR_MAINFRAME and transfer them to INM_WORKCENTER_APP or CPROJECTS_FPM (if needed).

Peter
Hi Srikar,
Following are the pointers from my side:
1. I hope that after upgrade you have performed following manual steps:
Restore customizing tables using t-code: /n/RPM/CUST_COPY:
/RPM/DASH_PERS: Dashboard Customization
/RPM/DASH_ROLE: Dashboard Attributes Override Table
INM_NAV_CTX: INM Navigation Context
INM_NAV_CTX_W: INM Navigation Context Work center
INM_NAV_INF_W: INM Navigation Information
2. Check minimum requirement of SP level (support pack) for the current set-up of your system (SP04 is the minimum required level)
3. Check SAP notes 2026050 & 2034467.
I am not sure if I can help you much in this case because we upgraded PPM 6.1 from PPM 5.0 recently and did not counter this issue. May be it got obsolete from PPM 5.0 itself.
If that doesn't help, what I can suggest you is to raise an OSS to SAP they will able to suggest you an alternative of it.
Meanwhile, let's wait for other experts to comment on that.
Best Regards
Saurabh
