SMD Agent and Host Agent Functions

Hi Team,

I am new to SAP Solution Manager.

I want to know what monitoring parameters are provided by SMD Agent and Host Agent for the ABAP stack. The introscope java agents provide the method level detail of the monitored java application. Can we get the same method level details from the SMD agent and Host agent also?

hi Balram,

To keep it simple,

DAA agent provides the SAP application level metrics starting from availability  like sm50. sm51 status and also performance and exception metrics of SAP ABAP application.

Host agent helps to fetch OS metrics like file system, CPU, memory,sap os col availability etc.

Introscope Java agent is data source for Wily Enterprise Manager dashboard data like system threads application threads etc... IS Agent gets deployed in the java stack component using the help of DAA agent.
