availability check to re-run after changing date

Hello Gurus!!

If confirmed sales order is changed  to have a new shipping date. Is it possible for the availability check to run automatically for sales orders even when a date or quantity is updated after the sales order was originally created?

Hi Ashish,

1. you can do Availability check manually from Change Order Screen(VA02) or update sales order(V_V1) transaction.

2. To automate this, you can perform BDC on V_V1 and schedule a job on that.

For more details to automate data in Sales Order, you can study the FM 'BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE'

Actually, I dont know in standard if we are changing(date or qunatity) any confirmed sales order, then system will run availvality check or not?

I have confusion in this.

Hi Ashish,

Well answer to your question is NO. System wont run availability check automatically, you have to command the system to do it.

Hi Sunny,

I checked in the system, availability check is automatically running when I am changing the confirmed quantity such that it will exceed the available stock.

Hi Ashish,

When i update the quantity or date, it is showing this popup.

and after that it shows availability control screen and i have to confirm the availability by clicking on that green button.

So how it can be automatic check if you are confirming by manual intervention?

Yes, it should show availability control screen.

Earlier, I thought it would not show and we need do it manually.
