SNC ASN & Shipment collaboration

Dear friends,

Client in existing process they use shipments from suppliers and they want same functionality to activate in SNC aswell

Please can any one explain what is the difference between ASN & Shipment  ?

what are the pre requisites to activate and to use Shipment creation ?

To create shipment in SNC first do we need to create ASN?

please explain the process follows ASN and shipment

Hi Satish

After the ASN is created by supplier, goods are need to organized, clubbed ,loaded on to truck as per the requirement by customer or 3PL to minimize the transportation cost and to be able to track the shipment better to avoid any delays. To facilitate this process shipment document is created with ref to ASN or against group of ASNs.

To use shipment collaboration in SNC you need to activate business function SCM_SNC_GEN1

Yes, you need to have ASN to create shipment.
