Order type SO01 is not supported with transaction VA01

Hi Colleagues,

I have created a new Order type : SO01 and have assigned to the Sales Org., Distribution channel, Division (0001/01/01)

but in Tcode VA01 while creating new sale order for the above order type am getting the below error :

"Order type SO01 is not supported with transaction VA01".

Kindly help me on this.

Seems to be not a standard message but customized due to some specific business process.

A couple of things:

• It is a bad idea to violate namespaces. When you create custom document types, they have to start with Z or Y.
• The error message - SE93->VA01->get the program name SAPMV45A->go to se38->search for 455. You get a few results and the firs one is which is giving you problems:

It is the indicator P that you have set in VOV8 causing your problem.

Not really hard to find that by yourself, it takes minutes.

In this specific case it was good to mention that you are working with S/4 HANA, because the same message ID in other systems has completely different meaning and use. Luckily, VBTYP is CHAR4 in S/4.

This is what I was also checking. In my Ides I am not able to see indicator P in the list. I was about to ask why there is P in above mentioned screenshot. Thank you Veselina for clearing this doubt.
