How to consider Labor Capacity in APO

Hi All

We are implementing SNP Heuristics with Capacity Levelling for a Pharma Industry. One of the requirements is also to bring labor capacity into APO. Since SNP Does not support Labor Capacity can you please suggest the different ways of doing that??

Hi

  • Capacity leveling supports the following resource categories:

– Production resources

– Transportation resources

  • Capacity leveling supports the following resource types:

– Bucket resources

– Single-mixed resources

– Multi-mixed resources

– Transportation resources

  • Plans (PPMs):

– Output must be maintained in the last activity.

– Fixed resource consumptions are not guaranteed.

– There is no continuous output.

  • You can maintain  one more capacity with category 002 in ECC with available Labor capacity and formula to calculate capacity. When you transfer this resource to APO apart from Machine resource , Labor resource will be transferred to APO.

  • When orders are scheduled for machine you also get requirement of labors

Hi Rami

Thanks for your reply.

So are you saying to create a Labor Pool and assign it to the resource for SNP?Does SNP Support Labor Pool? When I create the Planned Orders I atleast expect the system to show the amount of Labor consumed.

Hi Srivatsan

I am not sure that you create labor PPM/PDS correctly

Make sure you transfer capacity as secondary resource in APO

Hi

Secondary Resources

Frequently there is more than one source of bottleneck or constraint in process such as time , labor , equipment .Additional constraints may be established as secondary resource .define secondary resources by double clicking the primary source in the mode tab of the activity .

Please send your mail to send image for more illustration
