Hi All,
Am getting duplicate EWA reports for my entire SAP landscape. In my case i have scheduled EWA reports to generate every Monday.
Here am getting two to three EWA reports for the same system. so i want to remove those duplicate entries. Could you please help to fix this.
Steps i have tried already:
I have removed duplicate "EarlyWatch Alert for Solution Manager" entries from SDCCN tcode.
Regards,
Sabarish
Hi Sabarish,
Please check and confirm below steps:
1. There are no individual or duplicate jobs configured in SDCCN of managed system.
2. There are no multiple solutions defined for your systems.
3. Also check in Recipient list if same recipient's are mentioned multiple times (different distribution list etc.)
Thanks,
Manish

Hi Manish,
I have cross verified and found that the system SID mentioned in two to three solution with same logical component. Which means the each solution will trigger email? Could you please confirm? so that i can uncheck those entries to maintain single solution. PFB Here my case am getting 3 emails for PIP system. Please check and update me. Thanks in advance.

Sabarish
Hi Sabarish,
Please confirm these steps also:
1. Check in Earlywatch Alert Management --> Step 2 Activate EWA if all these solutions are active for EWA.
2. In your solution manager check background job (SM:EXEC SERVICES) logs the day it's sending duplicate EWA. If these EWA have same ID & SID or different ID with same SID.
Thanks,
Manish
Hi Manish,
I have checked as per your input. PFB
Can we go ahead and deactivate other entries to make only one solution for one SID.
Please confirm.
Thank you so much for your support.

Sabarish
Hi Sabarish,
Yes, you can deactivate the other solutions and keep one solution per system active for your EWA.
Also as you have mentioned that each EWA has different session numbers so we need to identify reason for these. Please check in your managed system (e.g. PIP) SDCCN tcode if you have single maintenance package job scheduled which runs on daily basis.
Along with that please check in "Done" task list tab about these different EWA sessions, if those got generated same day or different days.
Thanks,
Manish
Hi Manish,
Thanks for your support.
Yes we have single maintenance package job running with three different session id.
I have verified in SDCCN under " Done" list.
The same three session number match with EWA session.
Here my question, we have to remove those duplicate session too along with deactivation of duplicate solution?
Regards,
Sabarish
Hi Sabarish,
Please keep on "Maintenance Package" task scheduled in SDCCN which should run on daily basis. This task will itself create EWA session and send it to Solution Manager.
Keep only one solution active for EWA (per system or for all system). Do not create multiple solutions for same system.
I believe those 3 EWA sessions were triggered manually by any of your user as maintenance package does not create multiple EWAs automatically per cycle (weekly).
Thanks,
Manish
Hi Manish,
No Luck Still getting multiple EWA for that single system.
Ex: PIP
1.I have deactivated solution for PIP and its having single solution for PIP system.
2. I have deleted duplicate entries present in tcode SDCCN make it only one for my single EWA reports.
But unfortunately still getting those deleted session number EWA reports. Currently its present in -->SDCCN-->Deleted tab--> Those duplicate session number.
Could you please revirew and update your point of view. thanks in advance.

Sabarish
Hi Manish,
I have deactivated ECD duplicate system solution. Here the screen shot for your reference.
You can able to see from deleted tab that two duplicate EWA reports for ECD system has been deleted but still i got the same EWA reports. Kindly check and let me know if any. Thanks Manish.

Sabarish
Hi Sabarish,
I have checked your screenshots and all configuration seems to be correct except one additional service "Service Preparation Check" in SDCCN.
Please delete this as for EWA you need only "Maintenance Package" service to be scheduled which runs on daily basis.
So please clean your SDCCN jobs and keep only "Maintenance Package" job.
Please check below SAP Note for reference.

Hi Sabarish,
Is the email for EWA is being sent many times or the EWA itself is getting generated many times.
Thanks,
