Hi to all.
I don't know about vev 8.5.1, but older versions requires DirectPlay.
and this could be difficult.
Microsoft DirectPlay has been deprecated. Deprecated components of "Microsoft DirectX 9.0 for Managed Code" are considered obsolete.
We use VEV with .Net framework and we need to use 4.6 version and to have compatibility with win10..
How can we do this ?
Is VEV 8 (and its .NET SDK) ready for win 10?
Thank you.
Hi Davide,
Viewer 8 is not supported since June when Viewer 9 was released. The problem was fixed in VEV9. Currently Viewer 9.0 MP3 is available.
However, you can ignore Windows 10 message, because Viewer 8 does not use DirectPlay. Windows 10 falsely reports its usage.
Best regards,
Timothy

Hi to all.

Regarding this post
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dn323745(v=vs.85).aspx
I hope than next VEV updates will fix it.
What does Direct-Play used for in VEV?
Thank you.
