SAP Webdispatcher - HTTP 404 - Not found

Dear Expert,

We have configured following two parameters in SAP web dispatcher

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

icm/server_port_183 = PROT=HTTP, PORT=8888,

wdisp/system_183 = SID=<BO_SID>, EXTSRV=http://<BO_server_name>:80, SRCSRV=*:8888, SRCURL=/BOE/

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are using following url to launch BI launch Pad however we get an error "HTTP 404 - Not found"

http://<sap_webdisp_host>:8888/BOE/BI

Any hint what could be issue ?

What happens if you bypass the Web Dispatcher and access the BO server directly?

Like:

   http://<BO_server_name>/BOE/BI

The Web Dispatcher does not return "404" responses.

Thus, this must be coming from the backend.

Another thing, the parameters "icm/server_port_X" and "wdisp/system_X" should start on zero and should be sequential. Do you really have 183 ports and 183 backend systems configured?

Perhaps adjusting the parameters will help.

Hi Isaías

1. Bypass the Web Dispatcher  - this works

2. "icm/server_port_183" and "wdisp/system_183" - works fine in other landscape.

Infact we have migrated this dispatcher from old DC to new DC and somehow this does not work in new DC

I do not any find any logs, what really stops it

Hello Kunal,

Can you attach the complete profile from the Web Dispatcher to this thread?

Having an HTTP Watch trace would help as well.

If you can provide the HTTP Watch, please save it as the tool's native format (a ".hwl" file).

If you "zip" it you can then attach the "zip" file to this thread.

If you cannot provide the information through the SCN, then please open an OSS incident at the SAP ONE Support Launchpad and provide the information at the incident..

If you want, you can update this thread with the incident number and I can try to take the incident .
