SAP PI/XI 7.4 - file-to-file without ESR

Hi dears,

I need create a scenario in Pi/XI 7.4 file-to-file:

- I need get a file TXT in an server A and put this file in another server B

Is it necessary create ESR (Repository)? Or just create Comunicatio Channels?

Is it necessary make Mapping of this file TXT to convert to XML?

Hi Fabiano!

You don't need any ESR development for your requirement.

Just create communication channels for your sender and receiver BS(BC) and use any dummy sender/receiver interfaces with namespaces for routing.

If you need to transform your plain text file into xml file you can use File Content Conversion in sender file channel.

Hi Fabiano,

Its not necessary to create an ESR objects just to transfer the file from one server/location to another.

The communication channels and configuring the scenario using classic configuration or the ICO should suffice. But if you need to transform the content of the file you will need to develop the Design/ESR Objects.
