Leaving special routing without completing operation steps

Hi,

is there a possibility to leave a special routing without completing the steps?

I've tested it with the change production. It runs without errors and the information in the device history also says that the SFC was changed into another routing but it doesn't. A look to the step status shows that the SFC is still in the special routing at the same operation.

I want to change the SFC step into a production routing to a defined operation.

Our ME version is 6.1.4.43

Hi,

By the desing, alterations via Change Product are put in action immediately only for SFCs located at production routings. For NC routings (and I guess for Special routings too) the changes are brought into action only after completing this NC routing.

That's why you observe a successful complete of Change Production but see no change in SFC state.

I have not heard about any workaround here. You might want to desing your special routing in a way that each step have a link to Return step. If you use Done step in Special routing, this step will not return the SFC but just complete it to Done (at least, this is by design).
