Budget Commitment at PO level - SAP standard manual reference

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me SAP standard manual and topic reference where I can find that commitment always generated once PR is created. As per SAP standard, from PO, commitment is not generated. For example; if I created service or assign material from which PR is generated which also have some amount so system should not take that amount as a commitment till PO is not created and take PO amount as a commitment.

As I know that it's not possible in SAP standard so that's way I need SAP manual topic reference.

Also you understanding is correct -

1. Commitment is raised as and when you raise PR against WBS element.

2. System checks the available budget and reserves it when PR is created provided that Availability control is active for your Budget profile.

3. The commitment values are not changed when PR is converted to PO.

4. If the value is changed in PO then only the commitment values are changed against the Acct. assigned WBS.
