Duplication of Customer Master Record for different purposes

Hello, I'd like to get thoughts on duplication of Customer Master records in SAP. While we aim to clean data, there are cases where we allow duplicates. For this scenario, I would appreciate if someone can provide a different solution other than duplicating the record in SAP:

Basically, we are required to issue two invoices in the given supply set up that incorporates a consignment stock at the customer’s site: One internal invoice (a pro-forma invoice) for transferring goods into our own customer consignment stock and one invoice for the consumption out of the consignment stock by the customer.

We require Incoterms in Invoice matches with the Customer Master. However, with two different requirements for the same customer, is it justifiable to create a duplicate to reflect two different Incoterms or is there other work around (except for manually changing the terms in the Invoice)? Thanks!

Hi,

Incoterm refers to delivery conditions which is used for price calculation.

In your case you can create two incoterms and create two sales orders with two incoterm(one in each sales order) for same customer.
