Reconfiguration of Enterprise Portal after Hardware Migration of ECC on High Availability

Dear SAP Guru,

I am new in this field and I need experts’ advice on achieve the following...

Currently, we have standalone ECC 6.0 EHP 6 Production server connect with Enterprise Portal 7.30 Production system on MS SQL 2008.

As per the new requirement we need to migrate our current Productive standalone ECC server on Windows Cluster (High Availability) and then upgrade it from EHP 6 to EHP 7.

We can build High Availability ECC server through system copy. As I said earlier that our Enterprise Portal is already connected with Back-end ECC system. Do we have to reconfigure our Enterprise Portal according to the new host name of ECC Server?

Please let me know the step by step reconfiguration process of Enterprise Portal.

Hi Sunny.

Yes, You have to switch the portal configuration from standalone to HA ECC system(On Windows Failover cluster virtual name). refer the SCN thread.
