Hi Chaitanya,

Sources are nothing but various DCs available. These DCs can be of WebDynpro, Libraries, J2EE Applications, Portal Components, etc. In one word i can say these resources are all the code and are to be deployed on your web application server.

Hi Chaitanya,

you can compare a track in NWDI to a transport way in an ABAP system.

That means in the track you define into which systems your software component will be deployed, which is the test system, the production system etc.

More explanations you'll find here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c4/8efccb05f1394a8c68d5f56364d0d4/content.htm

and here: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/b6/e6b9fc9ec00f4ca4a0d3e0645e87b5/content.htm

Information about the architecture of CMS in general you'll find here:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/31/ef4c4005a99523e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

Hope that helps!

HI chaitanya,

In NWDI, DTR is responsible for version maintaining, So when you have a DC on track, versioned source of that dc is stored in DTR, like after adding a dc on track track if you go to DTR you can see versioned source of your DC after that when ever you modify a DC a new version is created, it just updated the files in browser point of veiw but in database it keeps its older verion too, so that if you want you can revert to older versions, CBS for build purpose it will take souce files from DTR and buld it.

If you need more info let me know.

Hi chaitanya,

In general for any project , we work on distribeted environment.

It meanse work will be assinged to variuos develors in the form of development components.

once all the DC's developed we need to build them inorder to run that application.

CBS will help to build all the DC's.

regards,
