ERR_SHMNOTAVAILABLE : shared memory not available

Hi Gurus,

we Installed SAP content server 6.5 & MaxDB 7.9 on windows 2012 r2 .After that installed DBM gui 7.9 for maxDB. Am proceed with default values while installation.

Note : while running content server URL facing HTTP 500.19 .this error effect on below erorr if any.Please suggests.

URL : http://<hostname>:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo

Please provide valuable suggestion on the same.

Hi Chandu,

Please run windows cmd as administrator, afterwards please check if the command still failed.administrator

Most of the maxdb related commands need to run as administrator in windows.

Thanks for the help.

As you suggested opened the cmd as administrator & the result is ok. It seems to be fine with my DB installation.

Please don't mind am clubbing another issue facing for ODBC is not registered .I read many scn it will installed along with MaxDB. Am unable to register them.Help me here if you have any idea.

hi Chandu,

The odbcreg locates under

c:\sapdb\<DBNAME>\db\pgm

Please run from there, or you can find odbcreg from your filesystem.

Dear Chandu,

If the maxdb is used as content server, please try follow SAP note 698915.

odbcreg MaxDB -i -p "C:\sapdb\clients\MaxDB\pgm" -d sdbodbc.dll

Two points:
1. add "" for the path
2. the type is maxd

To be safe, still run cmd as administrator.
