SAP PI DB Archiving to Open Text Server.

Dear All,

As the PI DB is getting loaded fully, planning of doing data archiving. Already SAP DB is being archived to Open text server now.

Currently  we are using SAP PI 7.1 and planning to archive DB to Open Text server.

Is this possible to archive DB from PI 7.1 to Open Text Server?

Also we have plans to upgrade the PI server 7.1 to 7.4 in near future, in this case, is it better to archive after upgrade?

Need your suggestions and please share the blogs in this regards.

Why using Open text for archiving XI- xml messages?

use a content server or a dedicated file system and customize the Archive process of PI.

Open text ,as far as I understand, this product is used for document archiving and not for technical data used in SAP PI.

Thanks for the reply.

Already SAP ECC DB is being archived to OpenText Server and hence we are also asked to do with OpenText.

Is there any possibility to configure SAP PI with Open Text, please let us know.

For the PI ABAP stack the object BC_XMB object is used with info source SAP_BC_XMB_LMS if you want to search the archive according to some fields of the monitor.

so it make sense it is possible in open text as well.
