Hi Experts,
on help.sap.com one can find the simplification list for S/4HANA on premise and a note with release restrictions.

How are these documents related and what is the diffence between them? Are the release restrictions just another representation of the simplification list or do they contain additional information?

SAP has restructured the solutions for business process. The simplification list explains the changes that is part of S4 HANA product in comparison with SAP ECC product. For example, in S4 HANA transaction code BP is single point of entry to create, edit, display master data for customer, vendor. Transaction XD01, VD01, XK01 will no more be available. This simplification list explains the steps to migrate all existing customer and vendor to Business partner.
The simplification list explains the solutions in each module with details on recommendation, custom code check, precheck, migration steps, Post processing steps.
Release restriction note 2214213 explains the eligibility checks of the current system before planning to migrate to S4 HANA

The Simplification List consists of simplification items with the focus on what has to be considered by customers in an implementation / migration project from SAP ERP 6.X to SAP S/4HANA, on-premise edition.
Note 2214213 tells about the currently restrictions in S/4HANA OP1511.
