Forecast Settings in Material Master

Hi Experts,

I want system to forecast (MP30) exactly based on past consumption. For example if Consumption in last year Aug was 100 cartons, it should forecast 100 cartons for Aug this year, like wise if it was 80 cartons for Sept last year, this year it should also be 80 car for Sept. What should be the necessary settings in Forecasting view? I have maintained below and system is calculating an Average consumption for each month.

Good afternoon.

Through material master you do not have this option. One way around it is to put N as forecasting model (No forecast/external model) and update past consumption values as forecasting values using report RMPR1001. I have to clearly state that i have never used it, but i have seen an example in the paper "Improve current forecasting models in SAP MM" by Prof. Carlo Altavilla and Gaetano Altavilla.
