IDOC text

Dear Experts,

My scenario is IDOC-SOAP  and the requirement is SAP will send 1000 characters in text format to PI,PI in turn send it to Third party.

The text is for  Purchasing Order ( ZORDERS.ORDERS05.ZORDERS05 ),..and we have used the segment ZE1EDKT2->TDLINE..

The Text is captured in TDLINE .

TDLINE is mapped (1:1) to Third party segment field  in SAP PI.

When PO  is triggered from SAP.the full text is captured in se37.

But in PI only 500 characters is reflecting.

Note:I  have reimported the IDOC structure and loaded the metadata in IDX2.

Please Suggest on how to resolve.

Hi Kalpana,

Can you go to se11 in ECC and let us know of the character limit of TDLINE? I think it should only be 132 characters and not 1000.

Thanks for your reply.

The character limit for TDLINE is 132 in default.but the requirement is to increase it to 1000.The changes were made for the same at ECC.

After the change the entire text is not reflecting in PI,only 500 is reflecting.

Hi Kalpana,

The 500 char are reflected in inbound payload in SAP PO/PI or outbound payload? If it is reflected in inbound payload then it needs to check in SAP if it is restricting the length.
