Good afternoon,
My client currently receives Purchase orders from their customers which are used to create sales orders.
The materials on these sales orders in turn drive the creation of operative networks / operative WBS.
This is used to manage the top level assembly builds.
Unfortunately, we only have a 12 week fixed period of purchase orders. We manually load up to 18 months worth of sales orders in order to populate our supplychain.
We do however receive a forecast from our customers for up to 2 years in the future.
We currently load this to our system in the form of independent demand.
My query is:
How can I get the independent demand to drive the creation of the networks?
Or
Is there a better way in which to be able to manage my operative networks?
Thanking you in advance,
Mark Mahoney
Hi Mark,
Its hard to figure out a better way of doing it, then what's currently being done.. As your trigger for operative projects in PO from customer which in turn creates SO and then the linked project..
Cheers
Sammar
