Sapdp00 timed out

When i tired to connect THRU sapgui640 I get the following error:

connection to host 68.92.41.52 service sapdp00 timed out

Component:NI

Version:37

Module:nixxi_r.cpp

line:1067

Method:NPConnect

Return code:-12

Counter:1

I did uninstall and reinstall the software but the same problem.Anyone has any suggestions Please do let me know.

Just FYR,

Do you use the VPN client to access the SAP system?

If yes, you may need to check if has the "Deterministic Network Enhancer" been checked in

your local area connection properties.

Wish this can help you little bit.

I am getting the same timed out error, My message server port is 3600 and sapdp00 is 3200 (both are properly available in the services file). infact it was working properly. But I had put some patches using SPAM, after that I am getting the error....

2. 问题分析:

由于安装了某些软件或病毒的干扰, 导致Windows系统注册表项

’DataBasePath’ (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/currentcontrolset/Services/Tcpip/Parameters/)

的属性, 由’ REG_EXPAND_SZ’(扩展字符型)修改为’ REG_SZ’(字符型),

因此系统无法识别该注册表项的值 (通常为: ‘%SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc’)

3. 问题解决方法

将注册表项’DataBasePath’的属性改回’ REG_EXPAND_SZ’(扩展字符型), 示例如下:

a. 打开 系统’开始’菜单-> ‘运行’, 在输入框中键入’regedit’

b. 按照路径

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/currentcontrolset/Services/Tcpip/Parameters

找到项’DataBasePath’

1) 首先将当前的该注册表项做备份, 例如将其重命名为’DataBasePath_Old’;

2) 复制该项的值, 通常为: %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc;

3) 在相同目录下新建一名为’DataBasePath’的项, 类型为’扩展字符型’, 如右图所示:

4) 双击新建的项,将刚才的值复制到输入框中, 如下图所示

c. 关闭注册表编辑器, 重新登陆SAP即可

If you are behind a router/switch to connect 2 machines to the network, try turning off one of the machines that you do not have SAP GUI installed, then do a ipconfig /renew on the machine that you intend to use SAP and try to login again, this should work.

Try changing service numbers. Instead of 3600, try 3601, 3602 or 3200, 3201, 3202, etc.

In our landscape we have dp services from 3200 to 3299.

I tried this too, the problem it my colleagues use the same connection and setting but they get no error!

Normally by the default setting, it should work!

I forgot the say that I'm behind a router so I wonder if because of router I have this problem!

Hi All,

Add the following in the (XP)C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services file in your workstation

<b>sapdp00 3600/tcp</b>

and try, should work.

Anand, i have tried adding sapdp00 3600/tcp in the (XP)C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\services file, but still getting the same error SAPDP00 TIMED OUT...can u help me... Thanks Hari

I face the problem too, and I tried all recommendation related to hosts, services files but the problem still persists! I reinstall Windows still now way!

I hope if some one tries to give us hand to solve this problem,

Hi,

Can you please let me know what you have done to fix the problem. I have Centrino mobile technology PC with Windows XP professional operating system on it. And I face the same problem while trying to logon to SAP (MiniSap version 6.10).

When we experience this problem, its typically a network problem or an error in the saplogon.ini file.
