Business area wise FI document number range

Dear Expert,

My client wants FI document number range to be configure for business area. Please advice what do I suggest. Also please help me with the configuration if there are any Please also let me know what is the impact on the business for the reporting purpose.

Dear Salman,

Number ranges cannot be maintained per business area. Number Range are maintained at company code level.

Please explain to client that Number ranges are assigned to Document type. And one document can have only one document type but number range can be assigned to many document type (Not Recommended).

Otherwise you can maintain one separate document type which you can use it for business area. Make sure while posting you pick the write document type.
