Hi,
lately, our SSM (7.1 SP11) system has been extremely slow. The problem is all DIA WP are occupied because every WP used by SM_EFWK or SOLMAN_BTC stay in Commit Status for a very long time.
I've checked several notes but with no success:
1851551 - Solution Manager not reachable/accessible because all dialog work processes are used by SM_EFWK
2253162 - Long running processes for user SM_EXTERN_WS report SAPLSYDB and action Commit in Solution Manager
2209954 - Deadlock in soft cancel
Settings for the EFWK are correct and set according to note 1851551.
We just upgraded the kernel to the latest version (7.22 PL127), but the problem continues...
Is there any note I could be missing?
Do you have an opinion and/or suggestion on how to fix this?
thanks
Antonio
Hi Antonio,
kindly check SAP note 1847293 - Message "DIA WP Resource Cap Exceeded" or message "DIA WP Resource Failure" in job log of job EFWK RESOURCE MANAGER.
We had similar issue on our solution manager as well. For us it helped to decrease Resources cap for RFC resources. But please decrease it carefully and always double check with job log
EFWK RESOURCE MANAGER.
Hope it will help you.
Monika.

Hi,
I see a lot of these entries:
> CREATE/ALTER partition function failed as only a maximum of
> 1000 partitions can be created.
Database error 7719 at OPC
with user SM_EFWK
and these:
BP_STEPLIST_EDITOR: Invalid step values (step 1 ) found. Reason:
> You are not authorized to schedule user SM_EFWK
BP_JOB_EDITOR: Job CCMS_CPH_RAW_DATA_UPDATE is invalid. Reason:
> Step 1 contains illegal values
with user SM_EXTERN_WS
Updating the OS and DB version is not an option right now, I'm afraid
thanks
Antonio
Hi Antonio,
What I meant earlier by update your OS & DB is please update this message about your current OS and DB version.
For your Database Error 7719, please check below SAP Note if your database is SQL Server:
1688108 - MSSQL: SQL Error 7719 despite support of more than 1000 partitions
Thanks,
Manish
