Restore OLD ARCHIVE Backup

Hi Experts,

Please give me suggestion for below Scenario:-

I have a database from year 2006 - 2016 of  SAP Production system.

Which we have divided the production system Database in two Parts

a) Database from 2006 to 2012 as Old Production system on separate system

b) Database from 2012 to 2016 as Live Production system

Now we need to add database from 2008 to 2012 in Live Production system.

Kindly suggest the possible steps.

Hi Subhash,

I don't think you can do this from database level.

If you simply insert the old db content into live production, it will cause application inconsistency.
You have to consult with the application about which tables, can be simply merged.

Do not do this without discussing with functional experts.
