PI Communication Commponent

Hi expert,

We have just migrated PI from 7.0 to 7.4.

Everything goes well, but I have a problem when I configure the ID scenarios.

To my opinion, we can see the inbound and outbound interfaces in the business system, also we can editor them(the interfaces).

But now we have some Business Systems available and others not.

Could you please give me some advices?

1. Open the SLD --> technical Systems --> your technical System, not the Business System --> installed Software --> Here you can add the SWCV. This SWCV must exist in your SLD.

2. SLD --> business Systems --> Your Business System (BS_BPCP_DEV) --> installed Software --> Now you can add the SWCV.

Have you made a real upgrade, or did you reinstall the system?
If you have a new installation, you have the copy the SLD content also, only the ESR content is not enough.

check in ESR further as Mark mentioned.

Hi Leo,

The list of interfaces in the business system will only show if  you check the products under the installed software tab. Once you click save, you need to clear the sld data cache and re-sync your business system with the SLD.

Hi Leo,

If that software component exists in your ESR and has service interfaces, you should be able to see the interfaces when pressing f4 (search help). Otherwise, it will be empty

As per your screenshot,

• Are you looking for the Interfaces in the Business System : BS_BPCP_DEV
• Can you check if the SWCV: IBM WEBSPHERE APPL SERVER 6.1 exists in your ESR and it contains the Service Interfaces you are looking for - Basically has this SWCV been imported from your old PI Server?
