Hi experts,
Before applying a SAP provided patch to Smart Business Content Component "HCO_HBA_R_SB_CORE", I would
like to backup the current version first.
Is it a valid approach to export the current "HCO_HBA_R_SB_CORE" Delivery Unit (via HANA Application Lifecycle Management)
to a local flat file as backup before patching this component ?
In event of any problem importing the new "HCO_HBA_R_SB_CORE" patch Delivery Unit, can I import the previously
exported Delivery Unit as roll back ?
Reading between the lines of available documentation, I suspect this patching rollback method may be valid.
However I cannot find any definitive documentation on this and not sure of any pitfalls if I use this approach.
Many thanks and kind regards
Fong
Hi Fong,
The default option for updating SAP HANA production is that roll back installation if activation errors occur.

I'm not sure if there is backup option for this delivery unit ().

Ning
