UTXJ in customer master

Hi All,

Why we maintain UTXJ with tax classification in customer master. Iam asking this beacuse in VK11,we maintain records for UTXJ for the relevant access, say for instance, region of delivering plant/region of customer/tax claisffication material/tax classifictaion customer. These data ,i.e region of delivreing palnt/region of customer, mat tax classification and customer tax classfication comes from sales order, so why the need for maintainign UTXJ and tax classfication in cusomter master record.

Hi

Those Tax classifications are from the plant assignment to Sales org, all those regions can be seen in tax classification.

the tax calculation is based on the entry here, if "0' is mentioned for that country in which the delivering plant is associated then no tax is calculated.

Hi,

Tax classification for customer specifies tax liability (only for Sales Tax) of customer based on the tax structure of the country where he is located. For example 1=Full Tax, 2=Tax with Concession, 3=Tax exempt.

This info acts as a source to the following :

1. During sales order processing, the system copies the tax classification from the tax infomration stored in the customer master record.

2. During pricing, the system calculates any relevant taxes by taking folloiwng factors into consideration.

Country - Region of Delivering Plant - Region of Customer - Tax classification of Customer and Tax classification of Material.

Because, there are customers with full tax, half tax and no tax customer with indicator 1,0 etc. So, when ever condition records are created with these indicators if the system found the customer with these indicators for this condition type in the sales order it will take that values
