RECN - Sales based settlement - Sales Report issue

Dear experts,

We have have created a contract with sales-based condition and a lease term of 09/14/2015 to 08/31/2019. There were sales reports that have been settled before through RESRSE (Particularly in period 12/01/2015 to 12/31/2015). Eventually, the management sent a memo stating that the tenant's commencement date should be 12/18/2015, so we have to change the start of lease term to 12/18/2015, as well as the validity of condition, reporting rule and sales rule validity.

Upon changing the starting validity dates of the items above from 09/14/2015 to 12/18/2015, we have noticed that the previously settled sales reports have disappeared but the FI document of sales based settlement were still in the customer line item.

Should we reverse the previously settled sales-based or is there other way to correct this issue? Looking forward for your best solution to this scenario. Thank you very much!

Best regards,

George

Hi George,

You mean that already sales based rent settlements have been executed for periods which afterwards where not within the contract term? In this case you should have reversed the settlements before changing the terms in the contract.

If you just change the dates in the contract the sales reports for those periods will be gone together with the sales based rent settlements. They will not be reversed automatically by changing dates.

Best regards,

Jeroen

Hi Jeroen,

Noted on this one Sir. In this case that we have already changed the validity dates especially in the reporting rule for the sales reports that has been previously settled, what is the best way to resolve it? Is there a workaround applicable to address the issue? Thank you.

Best regards,

George

Hi George,

You have two options here:

1st, the easier one - Reverse all previous sales based settlement pertaining to this contract.

2nd, not complicated, but it requires you to individually identify the FI documents posted as a result of sales based settlement and then reverse them one by one.

Amar
