Hi,
We're planning to move the SSM virtual box to a new and more powerful infrastructure and the server will have to be assigned a new IP address.
My questions are:
What should be done on all satellite systems?
How about all the DAA installed on each satellite system?
I know I have to review all RFC connections and make sure they're all using the hostname (and not the IP address). Is there anything else?
thanks
Antonio
thanks for the inputs

Hi Anonio
Check SAProuter if that IP address is maintained in there.
For the rest, probably not such a huge impact, like you say, connections you would need to check to ensure they use the virtual hostname. I would test some of those also after the switch, even if they use the hostname because hostname / IP address can be buffered (SMICM), just to be sure, test some of those connections. If needed reset the host name buffer if it's a problem.
Best regards
Tom

Hi Antonio,
For registration of DAA, please check that you use hostname or IP of SAP Solution Manager. To change registration settings, please refer to Diagnostics Agents - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki.
