Proxy to REST Service invocation using SAP PI

Hello Experts,

I am looking to call a REST service from SAP PI. Following is the scenario,

ECC (Outbound proxy) -> SAP PI -> REST Service

This is a synchronous scenario. I know how to develop this in ABAP but would like to understand how I can integrate using SAP PI.

You can consume the sync rest service and configure the PO/PI as per below blog
