SAP System Message: No connection to database session terminated

Hi

I am using SAP Ides system at my laptop.

My laptop got hanged up, so I pressed instant power off. [Not followed proper system shutdown procedure]

After that I am getting this error message

"No connection to database session terminated"

I have checked few thread in SCN and tried to find out file callled dev_wX, but couldn't locate it.

Can someone help me urgently? Because without this software, I am not able to study and practice.

Hello,

The "dev_wXX" trace files are located at the "work" folder of the SAP instance ("DRIVE:\usr\sap\<SID>\<Instance>\work").

We need at least one dev_wXX trace where the issue has occurred in order to analyze the issue.

If you can logon to the system and work for some time, you can try to find a work process that has information from the issue through the transaction SM21.

Anyway, it seems that something is occurring at the database, which is causing the work processes to lose the connection to the DB, which then causes the issue you are reporting.

Hi Arindam,

I think your DB is Orcale, so it is of Database problem, In the log it shows the error-----> ERROR => ORA-1578 occurred when executing SQL stmt (parse error offset=7)

The only problem is that I am not a technical person. I have gone through those post.

Now I am checking line by line that dev_w0 file and trying to understand which file is corrupt.

but then how can I repair that?

My ides system was running smooth (expect slow running issue). couple of time I have shutdown my laptop without following proper step, after that I am facing this problem.

Hi Arindam,

When you shutdown the system without proper steps some files maybe corrupted in DB level, maybe it is the issue. Your DB is Oracle, i don't know well about Oracle DB.This problem is DB level, so resolve this in DB level. So hope experts in SCN will hep you to resolve this issue.

Hi Arindam,

The error shows that is the issue, it is related to database...

Is the "IDES" is a host one (already installed in VM and you just configure on your system)?

Double click on the below icon on your machine where SAP is installed ( I am assuming it's on windows), expand the tree and share the screenshot.

From the snapshot show that your SAP system working fine. Are you getting any error message ? or Are you able to logon SAP system with user id and password?

I was able to login, but after few min I got that error message. server time that thing repeated.

one or two time I was not able to login even, bcoz that error screen popup.

Tomorrow, I will check my system again. If same thing repeat, then I will post in this thread
