Creating dynamic directories for DocumentLink(Attachments) in Work Manager

Hi Experts,

Good day!

My Client has this requirement to store each and every attachments that has been fetched in an individual sub folder.

But what we have in the External data property pretty much restricts the file and allows it to be stored in one absolute path (directory).

Adding to this, there can be attachments with same name that can be associated with more than one Workorder.

This needs to be individually grouped in folder.

Queries:

1. Is there a way to change the actual file name (not the file name property) of the attachment from SAP or JAVA?

2. Is there a way to create dynamic directories by utilizing the "Relative Path" in the external data property? (Like /%date:/=%_%time::=.% which would create folders with time stamp).

Ganesh,

Yes you can change the file name while fetching in Java. You can set the name of the file whatever you want to set.

I don't think you will be able to create dynamic path.
