Hi everyone,

how can i start the HANA database with the last successful savepoint? My log area is damaged and i have no backup.

In maxdb you can use "util_execute clear log";

I know there will be some data loss.

Thank you. Regards, Steffen

Hi Steffen,

In my view, it is not possible.

This situation that log area is unusable (disaster recovery) is mentioned in SAP HANA administration guide.

At least one data backup is needed.

Ning

Hi Steffen,

I'm not sure if there is some SAP internal method to fix this case (I just guess, don't take it too seriously).

So as the last resort, maybe you can open an incident to ask SAP if it is possible.

Regards,

Ning
